We celebrated our marriage on the third of September 2011. My husband is a Dutchman and I am of French-Luxembourg origin.
We knew our wedding brought different nationalities and different languages together.
Our first thought was: “Anke Minnee should be our Registrar of Marriages!” To us she seemed to be the perfect person to close our wedding because she is multilingual.
Before the wedding, we met Anke for the first time to get acquainted and to discuss the details concerning the ceremony. She was very sincere and wanted to get to know us better in order to make a tailor-made speech.
She was always available right through the preparations for our wedding, answering all our questions regarding our “Big Day”.
On the day of our wedding she knew how to put us at ease and to everyone’s surprise she gave a magnificent speech in three languages: Dutch, French and English. She also showed a great originality and spontaneity in her speech.
Our guests were delighted because everybody could understand the speech in their own language.
We say thanks to Anke who made this day so very memorable for us and if we want to renew our vows, we’ll surely invite her again!
